Roots & Rhythms Night Market is made possible through the support of passionate community volunteers. In partnership with Rites of Passage for Women, our volunteers help create safe, welcoming, and joyful spaces where families, cultures, and creativity come together.
Whether you are assisting with guest engagement, youth activities, cultural programming, or event support, every role plays a meaningful part in shaping the experience.

RRNM relies on volunteers to assist with event operations, guest services, and vendor coordination.
No prior experience is required — just a heart for community.

Volunteer With Roots & Rhythm Night Market
What You’ll Do
Volunteers support the flow and energy of the market through roles like:
• Guest welcome & check-in
• Vendor support & load-in assistance
• Market operations & guest guidance
• Setup & breakdown support
• Atmosphere + experience (lighting, ambiance, flow)
COMMITMENT
• Shifts range from 3–5 hours
• Arrive 15 minutes early
• Stay for your full shift (unless approved otherwise)
Roles for Every Energy Level
We offer a mix of roles so you can volunteer comfortably:
LOW-IMPACT ROLES
• Welcome table & guest assistance
• Vendor check-in
• Info booth & directions
• Social/content support
ACTIVE ROLES
• Setup & breakdown crew
• Vendor load-in support
• Operations team (walking the market)
We do our best to match you with a role that fits your abilities.
• $10–$20 food & beverage voucher
• Unlimited water + seasonal drinks (coffee, tea, cocoa)
• Volunteer t-shirt + market visor (if available)
• Community service hours (if needed)
